Plume heights reached 15.5 km during this explosion. The total duration of electrical activity was 34.8 minutes. The initial electrical activity consisted of a single discrete discharge, followed by a swarm of structureless activity over the vent for about 30 seconds. The activity then paused for about 1.5 minutes before continuing. After the pause, the activity started out slow and located over the volcano, but quickly grew in intensity and area. As is typical of these explosions, the discharges became increasingly more discrete and larger while frequency decreased.
