This lightning sequence was 29.1 minutes in duration.
The electrical
activity started out slow, with mostly unstructured activity for the first five minutes. The
lightning became more structured and larger over time. Notice that though the lightning
migrated to the west coast of the Kenai Peninsula, there were some small discharges back at
the volcano (sources are colored red) about 8 minutes after the last discharge over Nikiski.
